I have the pleasure of knowing you for many years. In my opinion, calling you a DJ is reductive. how would you define who you are and what you do?
Actually, I am a sound director. I have different roles in the music field such as DJ, composer, producer, sound designer, and also as a singer. Sometimes people call me ‘artist’. To be honest, I prefer ‘creative’ instead.
One aspect that fascinates me is that you've been able to create the aura of a completely unique character around you. are there differences between Thomas as a person and as a character? or do they both live and coexist in you?
There are no differences between them. These two aspects both live and coexist in me. Sometimes I am a very loner and chilled person, on the contrary, sometimes I love worldliness and being a party boy! I like the idea of being free to have different attitudes. I consider myself as 'chameleonic' :]

In 2019, your first LP 'Variations' and some music videos were released. The music and images transport the audience in surreal scenarios, or even in 'A trip to the moon'. is the visual aspect completely thought and directed by you? or do you have collaborators?
Yes, I have collaborators but they mainly work and in technical aspects. I am my own creative director. I find inspiration through my personal culture, and my movies, music, and images archive. I love to do a lot of research before. Nowadays, I believe it is the only way to produce original artistic materials.
Speaking of the visual aspect, I noticed a great influence from the fashion world - of which we can say you are part. What value has the fashion world - In particular the Milanese fashion scene - added to your music?
Actually, I don't think fashion influences or adds value to my music. I think it is more about the imaginary world that fashion creates and the style that can match your music. For example, big names like Madonna, Michael Jackson, and David Bowie were very 'hip'. But this aspect was focused on their characters or their being, not on their music.

In the course of your career you have achieved very high results, catching the attention of important brands and newspapers. What is the aspect of your job that has made you most proud of yourself so far?
Probably, my album 'Variations'. But now, I am thinking about my new project. I am sure it will be revolutionary compared to my past production.

Through your Instagram profile I could see that the quarantine, due to the coronavirus, has brought you a great creative boost, not only with regard to music. Surely this will also cause damage in your business, but do you think it has been useful to you in some way, like new future projects?
Before the quarantine came up, I was really exhausted. It was a very hard period, I had a lot of works, and a lot of satisfaction as a consequence, but I was so stressed and tired. I am worried about the economy of my job, but to be honest, I really needed a rest period. I used that time to thinking of me, my life, and to be focused on my art. It was a sort of recharge that I needed to be able to produce without distractions.

As I always say, this last question may be trivial, but I always find the answer extremely interesting. Why do you do what you do? What makes you choose music as a form of expression?
Expressing myself is a natural impulse for me. It is like a necessity, at the same time, a great way to understand myself and my feelings. My music is absolutely a reflection of my emotions and most of the times of my dreams. I love writing the music I dreamed of. I have loved music since I was a child and it is the strongest way I know to express what I think about art, society, and people.
