You’re a singer, but I’ve always wondered: are you also the author of the lyrics in your songs?
Yes, of course. Actually, I don’t like the word ‘singer’ at all. Precisely because I always composed both music and text, to sing is for me a mean, not the end. I would not be able to do otherwise.
Why did you choose to express yourself in English instead of Italian?
Actually it was not a choice, it came naturally. I have always listened mainly to foreign music. As a consequence, I feel more ‘comfortable’ with English than Italian. People ask me this question very often.. I don't exclude the possibility of writing and singing in Italian in the future.

Personally, listening to your songs is like a 'sweet lull' between melancholy and sadness. But what are your feelings while singing?
I have the same feelings you said. I might add another one: ‘strength’. I've always had a close bond with music. When I sing, it’s like my blood flows differently.
Let's talk about your background. Where and when did the whole thing start?
I don't think there's a start date. I was almost eight years old when I started playing the piano and I kept doing it as self-taught. At sixteen I started ‘singing’. I've always been fascinated by creation, and by the way music is created. This is why I have always avoided private music lessons as if they were a 'plague' for me. I always played in my room and it took me a long time to value my voice or my songs. Then someone like 'Rivolta Records' noticed me. From that moment everything has changed. Concerts, important open shows, trips, European festivals, and, last but not least, a contract with BMG.
Music has become my job and I'm happy with that.

What do you think of the music world as a business? In general and in your personal experience.
mmh.. maybe I’m not the right person to answer this question. I don’t like to connect ‘music’ to ‘business’. I’m afraid of the music field, I just prefer making music. For all other things, I have a great team that helps me.
How did the quarantine period affect your production? Was your new single 'double hour' (released yesterday) made during - or thanks - to that isolation period?
I had different expectations, but actually the quarantine made me so productive. However, ‘Double hour’ is not the result of that period. It’s a song born out 5-6 years ago.

Usual question: why do you sing?
Why not? :]
